The Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA) announces its juried exhibition, “Architectural Elements,” scheduled for January 4 – 30, 2018 in the 3rd floors galleries of the Bridgeport Art Center, 1200 West 35th Street, Chicago, IL. Gallery reception and awards ceremony will be January 19, 2018 from 6 to 9 pm. Refreshments and musical entertainment will be provided. Featured is original artwork recently created by CAVA members that visualizes all facets of architectural forms and elements, from subtle interventions to pure abstractions. Fifty-four artworks by 32 artists will be shown, including photography, painting, drawing, collage and sculpture.
Noted jurors for the exhibit include David Jameson, architectural historian, Tom Bader, architect, and Doug Fogelson, photographer. Gallery hours are Monday – Saturday: 8 am – 6 pm; Sunday: 8 am – 12 pm.
The Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA) is a not-for-profit organization of visual artists in the Chicago area aged 50 and older. Founded in 1988, CAVA artists have exhibited in many of Chicago area’s most notable art venues including the Chicago Cultural Center, Evanston Art Center, Noyes Cultural Art Center, Beverly Art Center, Bridgeport Art Center and the Old Town Art Center.
